If you recently switched to Outlook 2010 and color coded your messages, it probably seems like you can’t do it anymore. The good news is that you can still do it; the bad news is that it’s a little tricky.
To make life easier I created a little step by step tutorial for you. Just follow the steps below and you’ll be color coding in no time.
Inbox
In the Inbox click the View tab

Select View Settings

Open Conditional Formatting

Select Add

Conditional Formatting
Type the name of your new rule, then choose Font

Font Selecton Options
Choose your color. As an option you can also set it to bold.

Conditional Formatting
Select Condition

Filter
Select From

Select Names: Contacts
Choose the person you want to highght.

Select Names: Contacts
Then click the From button

Filter
When you’re finished, select OK

Conditional Formatting
Then click OK here

Advanced View Settings: Messages
And click OK one more time to save it. After that all new messages from your sender will be in the color you chose.
